Although we are in a secluded area of Riba-Roja d'Ebre we are only a 11 mins (2.7 miles) drive from the nearest village Riba-Roja d'Ebre, Flix which is larger and is only 20 mins (6.9 miles) away. So if you fancy a break from your fishing you know you do not have too far to travel
Is a small rustic village with a long history, there you will find a few bars, cafe's restaurants, butchers, bakery's, communal swimming pool and of course a supermarket. So there is basically every thing you need to make the most of your time with us, just ask your guide when you arrive. The village its self is unspoiled and the locals are really friendly. There is a a good cafe in the center which the locals use as a social meeting area and always seems to be busy. there is a small supermarket that can supply all your needs if you are self catering. Which is opposite the cafe so you can combine a few drinks and complete your shopping in the same trip.
Riba-Roja has a small train station and is a short ride to Barcelona and a very reasonable rate. The Bakery in the village sell fresh bread along with local specialty cakes. Looking for some where large then Flix is 15 mins away and offer a larger supermarket and tackle shop, there is also a dam and a man made Barble stretch which is well worth a visit
The local church which is in the center of the village is a baroque temple from the 18th century with a Greek cross floor plan, highlights on the facade include the door, images of the immaculate one, Saint Peter and Saint Paul and the Maltese Cross
We can highly recommend a restaurant in the village called La Pansa, who offer local cuisine and gorgeous steaks cooked in a open kitchen section, or you could try the local dish of snails
Fancy a day on the beach
Salou is a modern clean beach resort which offers everything you could need from restuarants, shops, harbours, and clean beaches, well worth a visit and only one hour away
